Hannah Allison, M.MFT
People are like intricate puzzles, each with their own unique set of pieces waiting to be understood and connected. Just like a puzzle, life’s challenges and complexities can sometimes make it difficult to see the bigger picture, leaving us feeling like we’re trying to solve our own puzzle with pieces that never seem to fit. As a therapist, I am dedicated to guiding my clients through these moments of uncertainty. Together, we’ll examine the pieces of your life--the relationships, experiences, emotions, and patterns—and work to understand how they all fit together and shape your story. Whether you’re navigating communication issues in your marriage, conflict within your family, or facing personal struggles, I would love to be a part of your journey towards self-discovery and healing.

Therapist Experience
I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of mental health and relationship challenges. I view problems from a systemic lens, which means that I am always considering how my client’s relationships and larger systems influence their well-being. I find that my approach to therapy is collaborative, creative, and flexible to each of my client’s and their individual needs. I practice an integrative, evidence-based approach to treatment that includes Bowen Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, The Gottman Method, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
Therapy Interests
My areas of clinical interest include life transitions, managing stress and burnout, creating work-life balance, coping with grief and loss, increasing self-esteem, family/relationship conflict, and facilitating healing from anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
I also love working with couple therapy clients. Each couple brings their own unique set of experiences, backgrounds, and dynamics to the therapeutic process. Whether it’s guiding pre-marital couples as they embark on their journey together, providing support to high-conflict couples seeking resolution, or assisting couples navigating the complexities of infidelity or grief, I’ve found immense fulfillment in helping couples achieve positive changes in their relationships.
Coming from a creative background, I also enjoy supporting artists and creative professionals who are navigating career-related obstacles in the vibrant community of Nashville.
