Therapist Experience
Prior to my work as a clinician, I spent several years working in a non-profit setting with kids and young families as well as kids and families involved in the foster care system. I experienced the joys, pains, frustrations, beauty, and complicated nature of families. It is this work that led me to desire a deeper knowledge and understanding of the family system, inspiring me to become a Marriage and Family Therapist.
My clinical work thus far includes work with a diverse population of clients from various ages, socioeconomic, racial, and career backgrounds. I have worked with individuals (kids, teens, and adults), couples, and families covering a wide range of clinical issues.
Therapy Interests
My areas of special clinical interest include anxiety, depression, relational conflict, self-esteem/self-worth issues, stress management, attachment issues, parenting, boundary setting, communication issues, and grief and loss. I practice an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy incorporating family systems theory, common factors, solution focused, cognitive-behavioral, restoration and strength-based interventions.
