Therapist Experience
Prior to becoming a therapist, while working as a legal assistant in a corporate law firm, I realized I wanted to shift from helping individuals, couples, and families find healing through the law to helping them through therapy. My previous work experience in the legal field has helped me understand systems, anticipate the needs of clients, and empathize with client experiences.
As a clinician, I have enjoyed my experience of providing therapy services individuals, couples, and families of diverse backgrounds in outpatient settings.
Therapy Interests
My areas of special clinical interest include anxiety, depression, premarital therapy, couple therapy, women’s issues, religious trauma, self-esteem, grief, and life transitions.
I use an integrative and evidence-based approach to treatment that includes Solution Focused Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Bowenian Family Therapy, as well as experiential techniques and Gottman Method interventions.
