Kayli Norris, RN, TLMFT

Each of us holds the power to cultivate change within our lives. We all inevitably face hurt and hardship, and in those times it can be life-changing to have someone partner with us, prove that we aren’t alone, and help us reorient ourselves towards growth and perseverance. Patterns, cycles, and systems that have defined our past and shaped our present need not determine our future.

I meet my clients with compassion and care, striving to help them define success and unlock their ability to achieve it. Each of us is a culmination of many parts, none of which exist in a vacuum, and understanding this interconnectedness is paramount to change. Whatever life has thrown at you, there is hope and there is a way through.

Education

Therapist Experience

Prior to pursuing therapy, I worked as a registered nurse within a variety of specialties, including fertility, labor and delivery, medical-surgical nursing, and case management. My training within the fields of both physical and mental health uniquely positions me to help clients explore the mind-body connection and bring about holistic, meaningful change.

As a therapist, I have had experience working with a wide variety of clinical issues affecting individuals, couples, and families. Most recently, I have focused on treating perinatal mental health issues, including pregnancy, postpartum, early parenting, fertility, and loss.

Therapy Interests

My areas of clinical interest include maternal mental health, anxiety, depression, relationship distress, developmental issues, trauma, identity and values work, life transitions, and betrayal. In addition, my experience as a registered nurse has informed my work with individuals and families navigating medical issues as well as with healthcare workers facing burnout and unique work stressors.

I take an integrated, evidence-based approach to therapy, incorporating techniques from attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, and Restoration Therapy. I also utilize the Gottman Method in my work with couples.
