Landry Smith, TLMFT

Sometimes when we feel stuck, we know something needs to change, but we just don't know where to begin. As a therapist, I help clients know what changes they can make. I love seeing my clients begin to experience the life they desire. By utilizing the strengths they possess and enacting strategic changes, they set the stage for reaching their goals. Big things happen in therapy. Every session gives clients the chance to explore the world of possibilities that is there for them as they lean into becoming the agent of change of their own lives.

Therapist Experience

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in a variety of academic settings. That experience gave me the opportunity to develop trusting relationships with individuals on a meaningful level and help champion their needs on their behalf.

In my clinical experience, I have provided evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, families, young adults, and adolescents striving to overcome a diverse range of mental health and relational challenges.

Therapy Interests

My areas of special clinical interest include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief/loss, relational distress, communication issues, life transitions, family conflict, burnout, adolescent challenges, couples, and premarital therapy.

I use a collaborative and culturally sensitive approach to therapy with the goal of empowering clients to achieve positive change and lead fulfilling lives. I utilize an integrative strategy for therapy that features Solutions Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Method Interventions, and Family Systems Theory.
