Therapist Experience
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for several years in adoption and child welfare. This experience allows me to take a more informed clinical approach to families and the challenges presented in our daily lives and within our communities. This work has also given me an understanding of high stress work environments.
I take an integrated approach to therapy in order to create safe place for individuals to grow and heal. I believe therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist that requires security and trust. In session, we will explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a confidential and supportive environment.
Therapy Interests
My areas of special clinical interest include depression, anxiety, work stress, grief and loss, life transitions, spirituality, maternal mental health, couples, marital and family conflict. My integrated, evidence-based approach to therapy is informed by cognitive behavior therapy, restoration therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
